Funding

Your child is eligible for 15 hours of free Playgroup childcare per week from age 3. This is funded by the government and a funding claim form must be completed and returned each term in advance.

From September 2017, funding increases to 30 hours per week for working families who meet the eligibility criteria.
(The 15 hours funding remains available to all).

Find the best funding options for your family on the government's Childcare Choices information pages.

Free childcare is allocated to start the term after your child's third birthday.

Fees

Playgroup fees are charged at £4.70 per hour*

You will receive a bill for your child's fees each term, excluding the funded hours (if applicable).

Any additional charges, including SupaStrikers and Forest School will be invoiced each term as appropriate.

Invoices are sent termly and you will be billed for all sessions requested on your application form, even if your child is absent from a session.

*The Playgroup Committee reserves the right to change this rate if necessary.

Childcare Vouchers

An employee benefit for all working parents.

Winchcombe Playgroup accepts payment in childcare vouchers.

Childcare vouchers are a government-approved and tax-efficient way of paying for your childcare, where part of your gross salary is exchanged for childcare vouchers.

Both parents can claim childcare vouchers,
they are tax-free and exempt from NI contributions,
so you could save over £900 per parent, per year.

Ask your employer about their childcare voucher scheme.
